Waiting for Love and a Place to Call Home

Meet the animals still looking for their forever families

  • Lorelai

Lorelai’s story begins in heartbreak — she was found tied to a tree before animal control brought her to the shelter. Estimated to be around 5 years old, this beautiful girl struggled in the shelter environment before ManyPaws pulled her (to an incredible foster home) to give her the chance she deserved.

We now know Lorelai is a mix of approximately 33% American Pit Bull Terrier and 31% Labrador Retriever, which explains her affectionate nature, intelligence, and love for both people and activity.

Once Lorelai feels safe, she is deeply loving and devoted — the perfect blend of couch snuggler and adventure buddy. She can happily lounge around the house or break into full-on zoomie mode when it’s time to move. She thrives with structure and consistency and loves having a person she can trust and look to for guidance.

Lorelai can be wary of strangers at first, especially in new situations. This shows up as cautious behavior or alert reactions until she has time to assess that someone is safe. With calm introductions, patience, and clear leadership, she settles beautifully and forms strong bonds. She’s dog-friendly with thoughtful introductions and does best with someone who understands that reactivity is rooted in fear, not aggression — and is willing to continue building her confidence with kindness and consistency.

Now, Lorelai is waiting for a forever family who will never let her down again — someone who will see her heart, honor her past, and give her the steady love she’s been missing.

    Could that be you? 💛

  • Olaf

    Meet Olaf ❄️
If ever there was a dog who deserved a soft place to land… it’s him.

Olaf is a gentle senior Husky who has lived a long life full of stories we’ll never fully know—but we do know this: he’s got the kindest eyes, the quietest soul, and a heart that still believes in love.

We met Olaf at the shelter, where he had been quietly waiting—despite clearly struggling. He has several tumors and some ongoing health concerns, and the stress of shelter life was making things harder. We knew he needed to leave now, so we scooped him up and promised him comfort, dignity, and care for every day that follows.

Since coming to safety, Olaf has shown us just how special he is. He adores soft blankets, warm sunspots, gentle pets, and cozy naps.

Olaf is not here for grand adventures. He’s here for love—for quiet homes, kind hands, and hearts that value the beauty of giving an old soul the peace he deserves.

We’re still learning what his medical journey will look like, but what we do know is that Olaf is not done being loved.

If you believe every life—especially the older ones—deserves to end in warmth and belonging…
    Olaf is waiting for you.

  • Dizzy

Meet Diz — the wiggly, wobbly wonder! 💙

Diz is a young husky mix with a heart as big as his personality. He was born without a portion of his brain, and his skull didn’t fully form or close. What does this mean for Diz? Overall, he’s just a little less coordinated than the average dog, with some balance issues that give him his signature wobble, and a home without young children would be ideal to keep him safe. Down the road, he may or may not be prone to seizures — something to be mindful of, especially since huskies already carry a higher risk — but for now, he’s living his best, happy, Diz-zy life and he currently has no additional medical needs related to his condition.

Diz also has some resource guarding tendencies with high-value items like food or special chews, but his foster has been working on them and he has shown improvement. With structure, predictable routines, and positive-based training, he should continue to make progress. He’s a good boy who simply needs an adopter who understands his boundaries and is willing to support him as he learns.

Despite his quirks, Diz is full of love, resilience, and charm. He enjoys people, snacks (obviously), and every chance to show how brave he is. He’ll thrive in a patient, dog-savvy home that sees his differences not as flaws, but as part of what makes him special.

If you’re ready to root for the underdog and welcome a truly one-of-a-kind pup, Diz is ready to wobble his way straight into your heart 💙🐾

  • Sherrif

Meet Sheriff! This approximately 3 year old medium–large mixed breed has the softest black fur and the most adorable floppy ears you’ll ever see. Sheriff is a fun-loving, goofy boy who’s equal parts cuddly and playful.

Sheriff is incredibly smart, food motivated, and full of energy. He has lightning-fast zoomies and absolutely lives for chew toys. Because of his active brain and body, he’ll thrive in a home that can provide plenty of mental stimulation and physical exercise.

The good news? Sheriff already has a great foundation! He knows how to sit and shake, is both crate trained and house trained, and walks like a true gentleman on a leash. He’s kid-friendly, though he’d do best with children who can handle some enthusiastic jumping and rough-and-tumble play while he continues learning his manners.

Sheriff is also dog-friendly and would be delighted to have a canine sibling in his forever home. He’ll need a tolerant, energetic dog friend who can keep up with (and forgive) his playful shenanigans.

Right now, Sheriff is working hard on his house manners and his “place” command, which is helping him stay off the counters and learn how to settle and take breaks.
